It's been turned off for a month. I hope to not switch it back on until October.

I never actually turn it off - I have the stat set fairly low, so it hasn't fired up for a couple of months now.

Same here, but it has come on a couple of times in the evenings in the last week.
I need to turn it down a bit.

You really should put it on now & again, to make sure it’s working before winter kicks in !

Ours is always left on, but down low

Plus, with this rain, the Mrs uses it to dry the washing, as it’s cheaper than the tumble dryer

I live with two females who are eternally cold, i put a log burner in two of the rooms downstairs so that i could isolate them both and it meant that i could get dead wood from the wooded areas around my area. End of February is summer in my house, so the heating goes off, back on end of November, for 1 hour a day. Got to think of the planet (that's what i tell my wife)
You got thrupple, no wonder you're warm enough, one of them is not that bird that used to be on Corrie, is it?

It's because women don't understand a thermostat. Which is why I turn mine off.

                          Exactly!
Mrs H walks around barefoot with a thin top on - "is the heating on? I'm freezing!" - stat reads 19 degrees!

in fairness, 19 degrees is t shirt and shorts weather.
