Great idea. The 30th September deadline mentioned allow everyone to get both jabs if they are quick and haven't had a first jab.

Should people not want to take up the offer that's their right to disengage from society as long as there is an exemption for those with a genuine medical reason not to do so.

Maybe they should think hard about taking a risk attending in any case but more likely to be safe if all others were double vaxed than not.

They should have some way to identify people who have a good reason for not having the vaccinations

Your second sentence beggars belief.

What is better not having the vaccine at all (or a mild version?)?

Or being seriously ill and possibly permanently affected or even dying???

And yes I do realise it is still possible to get seriously ill and even die if you have been vaccinated but from the scientific evidence the chances of this happening are far far less.

The vaccine stops the majority getting COVID, and as you say, it stops serious illness. There will be some instances but if they're pregnant etc, surely they'd need to shield anyway? If you don't want to get a jab, that's fair enough but it is clear this is just the start.
