Bristol City fans I know didn't rate him at all and weren't at all sorry to see him go. Can't see how a player like that improves us at all. If we're thinking of him as back up, may as well use one of the youngsters instead.

Surely can't be given a contract, no point getting wound up about it unless it happens but if they did it would sum up the fact this club has no direction or long term plan.

There are plenty of other free agents still around at the moment - think there will be quite a few getting late late moves

Mick McCarthy said it himself when he mentioned that he liked Marley Watkins when he was at Barnsley, but that's a good few years ago now - I'd like to think there's better out there available for nothing if we're seriously looking to bring more players in.
