Apart from Duckett, who’s just been dismissed, it’s been woeful.

They’re getting paid serious money (by cricket standards anyway) - they should be ashamed of themselves.

The whole thing is embarrassing. It would be more honest to call them Franchise Side A, Franchise Side B... etc. There will be a bit of wham-bham excitement in a few matches, but mostly manufactured.

There is hardly any connection with 'home' support (other than a home ground somewhere within the catchment area) and impossible to identify with or care about the team that is supposed to represent us.

I tried to get into it a bit in the first year but failed, and this time around haven't even got to that level. 'We' haven't even got Johnny Bairstow to run riot this time.

With Bairstow pulling out and this being the first game, it's hardly been the best of starts for this year's tournament.

Ducker was only batsman who made runs last year …..

Just what I was thinking - they paid a fortune for Clarke who blocked three and then was out off the fourth. Even if the bowlers manage to pull off a miracle, it’s been such a poor batting performance by the so called specialists.

Unlucky for hogan to only get 10 balls I thought, he bowled really well. Certainly a better option than Jordan or stoinis
