I know I’m a cricketing dinosaur, but looking at the scores today do any of these sides know how to knuckle down and see off the new ball? 17 wickets on day 1 of the Glamorgan game seems a high number but three other games are into their third innings already. I suppose they are coming out of a 20.20 campaign but every side needs a Chris Tavares at some point.

Losing’s better than drawing in cricket’s brave new world Hamish- no, I can’t understand it either. The 17 wickets at Cheltenham was only the fourth highest of the day.
Between wickets and runs there can't be too many better than Crane and Van Der gugten. If their bowling doesn't get you , their batting will. Great innings by crane so far, moving through the 40s at a run a ball
197 all out, so a small lead for Glamorgan, but it’s all gone wrong for them since then - Gloucestershire going at nearly five an over at 148-2.
Meanwhile, I’ve watched the seconds play Warwickshire in a T20 game on You Tube and the affliction which we’ve seen this season in this form of cricket isn’t limited to the first team. Chasing 184, Glamorgan we’re going at ten an over at 130 odd for one when they began to stumble, still, they only needed six off the last over with just four wickets down and yet they managed to cock it up as they got three

We should arrange a match against South Africa. Should ensure for an exciting finish, with both teams falling apart and contriving to hand the game to each other.
341 -4 at lunch. Another 280 needed for a world record chase or 2 sessions to block for a draw. Brilliant effort so far. Although hard to see how both teams managed to crumble so spectacularly in the first innings
Can't see many runs coming from 10 and 11 so I think we've got to rely on TVDG and Mason Crane, together with Sam Northeast to get us home. Still a long way to go though.
