After a dire April this has been an outstanding May. The first time ever Glammy have won 3 consecutive games with a day to spare.
Derbyshire just about hung on to avoid defeat in early May.
Good to see everyone contributing too.

I think the biggest contribution Marnus has made in these 2 weeks has been getting his mate Kuhnemann to come and have a game for us.

With all this talk of playing less cricket at the moment, seems like Glammy have found a simple solution - just keep winning in 3 days!

3 consecutive 3 day wins. It’s a fantastic run that unfortunately now gets packed away for some considerable time. Very disappointing.
But like the previous 2 matches some wonderful elements in this game. Centuries from no. 4 and no.5 after some early struggles. First innings 10 wickets shared between 5 bowlers. More important wickets for Gorvin. TvdG as tough to play as ever. And a guest spinner taking 6 to see you home!!! Good times.

We still got to get eight to win yet.

Ten wicket win takes Glamorgan into second on 97 points. Unfortunately, Derbyshire have Kent following on with the forecast saying it should start raining for the day there tomorrow in the early afternoon.

Quite a turnaround in the last 3 matches, fair play. Shame it switches to 20-20 now.

"THis has been a very even game, apart from that partnership by Glamorgan on the first day...."

And just after losing 4 wickets today, "If Middlesex can bat until stumps they will be 150 ahead, it could be a great last day..."

The man is delusional, but extremely confident. Must be a public schoolboy.

Apparently, it was the first time Middlesex have ever had to follow on against us and the first time we’ve ever won three consecutive games with a day to spare. As Ive said before on here a few times, our record against Middlesex in Cardiff has been appalling over the past thirty five years or so and this prompted me to say after the Northants win that I might start thinking of a promotion challenge if we could beat Middlesex - well, we didn’t just beat them, we stuffed them!

I believe our next four day game is in about a month’s time at Leicestershire who are looking as good as up already. We’ll go there without Fernando who was bowling really well after a poor start and Kuhnemann who was our match winner today, but it looks unlikely that we’ll look for another overseas player as we have Hayden Kerr, the Australian all rounder brought over for the T20, who’s going to be available for red ball games as well and Ingram will replace Labuschagne. We’ve got the likes of Leonard, McIlroy and Douthwaite to be added to the seam bowling and Crane to help with spin, plus Kellaway of course. On the batting front, Root and Byron seem to be some way off selection so we must have some strength in depth in that department.

With youngsters coming in and making an impact, our squad depth looks as good as it’s been in some time, my concern would be whether we have bowlers capable of coming up with the sort of game changing contributions that Fernando and Kuhnemann have provided in recent wins.

Isn't it just. In fact I seem to remember similar happening last season.

Had been thinking that myself, a very welcome training partner

Derbyshire complete their innings win over Kent and so move a further point clear of us despite our latest victory - the gap between second and third is now eleven points.

Incredibly, that was only Glamorgan’s second red ball win over Middlesex in the near sixty years they’ve played at Sophia Gardens.
