We seem to be treating every opposition bowling attack as if it is better than the West Indies one of the 80s at the moment, so I'd say our best hope is to bat out the day for a draw !

I think Derbyshire have to be favourites because it seems the pitch is spinning and if Salter can get three wickets, I have to believe that their spinners can do a lot of damage today. I think we need someone to take the game to the opposition in a way we've stopped doing recently and, if luck is on their side, we can win - as a team used to losing, Derbyshire heads might start to drop if we can stay competitive for the first session as well.

It sounds two paced, commentators were saying balls were stopping from salter. I would be pretty surprised if we win this.

I hope you're right, they won't win by batting defensively at a snails pace as they have been of late

They're playing into their hands, when are they going to get out of first gear when they're batting?

It's tea time and they're resting after batting at the fantastic rate of 1.72 an over

                        50 Partnership broken, Donald out

Yes the run rate isn't great.
The pitch at Cardiff and the conditions are obviously unpredictable so I suppose the one positive compared with the start of the season is that we are taking the game to four days.

Pathetic how can you bat pathetically slow all day and yet one batsman managed to get himself stumped and another got himself run out?

All over. Very poor. Great for the 16 year old Derbyshire spinner, though.
