He says what the fans want to hear he butters them up at every club he goes to. Some hold onto and believe everything he says giving him leeway for his shite football and bad results. During his pre match talks he bragged up the opposition as if they were Fergies Man Utd thus giving himself a safety net if we were shit. Good riddance to Warnock I say

Don't all managers and players basically do the same?

He may have a couple of catchphrases but they all say the usual stuff in different ways.

Such a big club, great fans etc etc, they aren't going to generally say the opposite.

Give over. If Clough was God then Warnock is the anti-christ. You couldnt get two more contrasting footballing philosophy's.

As Cloughie once said "If God wanted us to play football in the clouds he would have put grass up there"

Does he do the chairman bit at other clubs, or was that especially for Dalman?

Did the same with Tony Fernandes at QPR I seem to recall.

Warnock takes it to a whole different level. Sure, you'd expect managers to praise the fans/club, even the chairman if they so wish.
The trouble with Warnock is, he always uses the superlative to describe them.
In the end, it cheapens what he says.

Maybe he's just an enthusiastic bloke who loves football and gets carried away with the excitement of a win. Really can't get my head around why so many city fans are intent on doing him down, he was great for us.

To say he "was great for us" is too much of a generalisation. It overlooks a lot of his poor expenditure in the transfer market. It also overlooks the fact he didn't build any foundations at the club and had a footballing philosophy that was too short term and could never survive in the Premier league.
His close links to the his son's footballers' agency was another 'grey area'.

Just signed a youngster from the National League South.Supposed to be highly rated. Why a club in the southern England area never signed him I do not know.
