Re: Worst roads in Wales
I can remember years ago (more than 10) there was a post on here where people were complaining about other road users and someone made the statement that people driving in the middle lane when all the roads were empty meant he had to drive thousands of additional miles each year by going to lane 3 to overtake and then back to lane 1.Originally posted by delmbox View PostWhen you were 21 did you one day foresee yourself starting threads on the internet (with photos) "Called worst roads in Wales" with the view of discussing roads with strangers? :sherlock:
Rather than accept this as pointless hyperbole, I spent the next 30 minutes calculating that this was in-fact impossible, destroying his claim with research into road widths, trigonometry and logic. there were even diagrams.
Then in a moment of clarity just before posting it I thought what the **** am i doing? deleted the post and went back to work.

Re: Worst roads in Wales
Travelling to the match on Saturday, I found the new dedicated lane which bypasses the roundabout (where the Radyr road (Heol Isaf) joins the Llantrissant road (A 4119) travelling south) difficult to negotiate. Before joining the A 4119, checking the traffic flow is not straightforward and probably the safest thing to do is stop and then look (I did see the broken double white lines!:-)). Approaching this for the first time, I expected two lanes with traffic coming from my right to have its own lane.
Btw, I agree with your Tongwynlais comment, though I've never seen an accident there and locals who use the road will surely be aware of the layout.

Are you?
You certainly don't look it :hehe::hehe::hehe:)

I think he meant that if the op's 21 year old self could see himself posting that in a few years then he might start questioning some of his life choicesOriginally posted by Cyclops View PostTravelling to the match on Saturday, I found the new dedicated lane which bypasses the roundabout (where the Radyr road (Heol Isaf) joins the Llantrissant road (A 4119) travelling south) difficult to negotiate.
