  • Podcast recommendations

I've hit 40 and suddenly listening to people waffle on in an entertaining way really appeals to me. I've also torn my calf muscle off the bone so have plenty of time to lay around listening to podcasts at the moment.

Any recommendations? I'm already in the middle of two.

Romesh Ranganathan - "Hip hop saved my life" you do need an interest in hip hop to listen to this really.
Joe Marler - "The Joe Marler show" fantastic listen. Humorous and informative.

Please don't recommend Joe Rogan as I cannot bear the bloke.

    Cheers

Undr the cosh .Start with Si Ferry pt 1 and 2 . It is laugh out loud funny . Martin Allen is good .Rowan Vine is interesting ,if slightly strange .Luke Steele is good .Danny Mills entertaining.

They will give you a bit of an insight to a footballers life . The guests are generally quite opinionated . If you do enjoy them there are loads more . Jon Parkin is one of the interviewers , whilst there is a lot of humour they do examine their guests to a degree.

I enjoyed the Rowan vine podcast. He started it acting like a right dick head, but opened up nicely after 15 minutes of showing off. Get on the mark crossley podcast by them. It's funny, and if you can tolerate him, Leon knight. He's a danger to himself.

I found Rowan Vine a bit strange , I think he has issues ( dont we all :hehe:)

Have a listen to Si Ferry , just thinking about his interview is making me laugh . His interpretation of Paulo Di Canio and Thomas Graveson are all time classics.

Boxing Life Stories by Tris Dixon.

Some great stories of some famous and not so famous fighters. Tris is a good interviewer too.

I like James English on YouTube. Not all his guests will float your boat but I've seen some really good interviews on there and after not judging a book by its cover (or judging the guest then..) I've seen some really decent episodes.
