Just watched Villa's boys against Liverpool and they acquitted themselves very well indeed.

Our Mark Delaney has been youth coach at Villa since retiring with a knee injury in 2007.

The commentary team were extolling his no-nonsense work with the youngsters and one wonders whether Delaney could be a viable alternative at CCFC if a change occurs? He's 44 now.

Good shout. The best full back we have ever had. My only reservation is that he is a quiet character and didn't appear to be one of the leaders when he was with us. A hell of a player though.
