Wenger, chief of global football development at Fifa, said in May that he wanted to see the World Cup and European Championship played every two years and have Fifa "kick all the rest out".

So basically no Nations League, no qualifying rounds and no friendlies?

Nations League has been fantastic for everyone except maybe the most powerful countries in Europe so of course they want it gone - increased funding for less powerful but no chance (as opposed to slim chance) of them moving up the ladder.

Going to end up like rugby where Fiji/Samoa etc. should be amongst best in the world but England/New Zealand etc. have created a system based on massive degree of inequality and keep buying their best talent. And the genius Wenger is the pr*ck who is pushing for it.

so we ditch the euro's /Copa América and have a World Cup jolly instead

will it really matter to us, change the euro's to the World Cup, it makes little difference, who knows they might enlarge the world cups to include more teams
