Why do it yourself and pay for insulation when you can get it for free with a NON means tested government grant:

Not my main place of residence, though presumably a tenant could apply. It's going to cost me between £100 - £150 with 'free labour', so not too much of a hit. It's just not the nicest of jobs to do !
