I remember an American chat show host, in the early 90's (whose name escapes me), he was reviewing the Noel Edmonds' Saturday show - 'Noel's House Party'.
He was genuinely concerned about the British audience's almost fanatical hysteria of 'Mr Blobby'. He looked deadly serious when he said.. "the British are going soft in the head!" :hehe:
