Re: Covid passports.
Well yeah- that would make perfect sense. If boosters are needed to maintain protection then absolutely the passport should be dependent on being up to date with the boosters.Originally posted by TWGL1 View PostThe psssports will probably be dependent on six monthly boosters in the near future.
I’ve also been told that lateral flow tests ( which are incredibly inaccurate) will no longer be free to the public imminently thus adding a financial burden to less well off families
And who told you lateral flow tests will stop being free? I can sort of see the purpose of that too: as you say they are less accurate than PCR anyway and the results can be kept private whereas govt would have better visibility of the spread. I'm not surw why it would mean expense for anyone if PCR remains free

Re: Covid passports.
Will that hinder fans who use someone else's fan number to buy a ticket for a game ? ie could we see a few fans refused entry to the Swansea game next week?Originally posted by splott parker View PostShouldn’t be a problem with season ticket holders. You’d only need to register your covid pass once with the club, even though you do need to log on once a month to keep it up to date, it’s the same piece of paper. It could then be paired up with your fan number and season ticket card so no need to take your pass every game. The club could easily get this up and running by, say, season 2025/26

Re: Covid passports.
Try walking through the Canton concourse between 1400-1500, absolute Covid factory. And I say that as someone who got Covid there (albeit at a Wales game against Estonia)Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostOh, I should think you’ll be fine at the ground, sitting in the open air in a 36,000-capacity stadium with 15,000 fans rattling around like peas in a drum.

Re: Covid passports.
Double vaccination doesn't stop you getting or spreading Covid. Just reduces the risk and impact. Younger, school aged children won't have been vaccinated. Even though it's Saturday, they won't be in school on Monday. One of them, aged about 10, was licking the handrails! Not the most hygienic way to exit the country.Originally posted by TWGL1 View PostIf we have all been double vaccinated ,I don’t see a problem. That’s the whole point isn’t it ?

I am aware of that , but younger school aged children are not really at risk of the disease ( that’s well known ) my son has had Covid and for him it was a runny nose / mild cold, as it was for me coincidentally.
I think it’s time to trust the vaccine process and start to move forward , whilst ensuring a decent balanced diet, regular exercise, and maintaining a high level of hygiene.
The more children who are infected the better it is for the older generation as they create population immunity.
All of this information is on the ONS website.

“Large events could also be allowed to check passes at random, rather than check every person who attends.” !!!!
