Lecturer sacked for throwing cardboard at sleeping pupil
Re: Lecturer sacked for throwing cardboard at sleeping pupil
It's crazy when you think about what went on years ago.
Of my 2 games teachers, one represented Wales in the Commonwealth Games and the other played rugby to a decent level. They often dished out the cane or the dap to anyone messing about.
My sons games teacher is also a rugby ref. If he dished out punishment as my teachers did when I was in school there's no way he'd be in either of his jobs today.

A certain Ms W (aka "Gillette" due to her seven o'clock shadow), who was as a physics teacher in Cantonian (boys) school, used gently walk around the class and suddenly deliver a punch between the shoulder blades to unsuspecting victims that had met her disapproval. And she was a hefty woman.
