there are two parts to this. Firstly, the club's response was severely lacking and they're now on the back foot. The ECB are quite correct in suspending all tests at Headingley until the club sorts itself out. Whether there was or wasn't racism is not the point, the club have a duty of care to investigate thoroughly and now the board are looking to blame the ECB for lack of response, when the ECB is the sport regulator, is passing the buck.

Then we have the incident(s) themselves. People of similar backgrounds may opt to refer to each other using terms others might find offensive if used elsewhere (certain Afro-Americans referring to each other as monica as an example), but I can't see that two supposed friends from different backgrounds would think such language was acceptable. It just does not wash and I don't believe Garry Ballance when he claims it was done in good humour. What sort of individual are you if you think referring to your supposed friend with such language is acceptable behaviour? Similarly Mike Vaughan denies the allegations but a witness has come forward and said they witnessed it.

There needs to be a full investigation and if the players are found guilty then ban them for life. Zero tolerance is needed to send the right message.

Thankfully questions will be answered in Parliament so the contents of the heavily redacted report can be made public.

Still not comparable to this situation. If you had CCFC players using racial slurs against another player and the club brushed that aside then maybe you’d have a point.

There is no comparison between what Yorkshire have allowed to fester and Cardiff , in fact I believe we area very inclusive society and club and the odd problems are very much in the minority in our FAIR City and only carried out by mindless poorly educated people .
