Four teams. Two semi finals which are just one leg. The winners play in the final to qualify for the WC finals. So 12 teams but only 3 qualifiers. Unhelpful to have Italy and Portugal involved.

Equally Italy home or North Macedonia away. I'd rather North Macedonia if it meant playing away.

How many times have we bollocksed things up at home in a big game? We're not a side that is great at breaking good teams down at home. If anything, I'd feel slightly more comfortable playing away where we could play more on the break.

I don't think home advantage for us is all that important.

You’re the latest of a long line who doesn’t get this. The home team also avoids the most difficult teams.

Saturday night I was thinking that even if we get an away tie we could turn over any of the "projected" sides in the playoffs.

Then the Portuguese and Italians feck it up.

How many times have we bollocksed things up at home in a big game? We're not a side that is great at breaking good teams down at home. If anything, I'd feel slightly more comfortable playing away where we could play more on the break.

In the last 8 years, Wales have played 23 competitive home games, won 15, drawn 6 lost 2.

In the same time away played 24 won 11, drawn 8, lost 5.

It’s a decent very away record but we’re stronger at home.

FIFA will want Italy and Ronaldo at the World Cup so I imagine they’ll both be kept apart from each other in the semi/final fixtures.

Hopefully we can end up in the the last group of 4 that doesn’t involve them

That's if the other seeded team win their semi. They could all lose their home game.

If we were to win the first game where is the second game played?
