We need to avoid Italy and Portugal in our group of four. Worst case scenario could be Italy away in the final. We also need luck with injuries in March

That's if the other seeded team win their semi. They could all lose their home game.

If we were to win the first game where is the second game played?

There is a draw at the same time the draw is made for the mini-group of who will host ( semi 1 or semi 2 )

So we could be at home - or away to possibly Portugal Italy or Russia.

You just know FIFA will stitch it up.

Four teams. Two semi finals which are just one leg. The winners play in the final to qualify for the WC finals. So 12 teams but only 3 qualifiers. Unhelpful to have Italy and Portugal involved.

And the teams hosting the one-off finals are to be drawn 'by lots', as I understand it).

I don’t know why but I just have a feeling it will us v Portugal in the final in somewhere like Paris…..that will be some occasion

Well it would be in either Wales or Portugal, the final isn't in a neutral venue
