Re: Isaak Davies.
I finally found that blog article from 2016 I think it was when I first saw him. He was excellent that day and as I saw more of him, Keiron Evans, Sam Bowen and Keenan Patten, I thought we had a group of players who had grown up together and knew each other’s game who might have a chance of making it. Rubin Colwill was in the group coming behind them and was a sub much of the time, but he was always able to come up with something eye catching when he got his chance.Originally posted by Bluebirdman Of Alcathays View Posthttps://www.theguardian.com/football...r-league-clubs
He was featured in this article when we were in the Prem so there have been high hopes for him for a while.
I’d like to see Isaak play through the middle more because that’s where he played most of the time until Dan Griffiths (who’s left the club now) joined us from Liverpool and he moved out to the wing to accommodate him.
That’s a very interesting Guardian article for some of the other names that appear and for the fact that some of them have had to move on to other clubs.

Re: Isaak Davies.
Yes, that season we won the under 18 league, he looked a very good prospect, then he got loaned to Pen Y Bont, got injured when he came back to us and looked to have gone back quite a lot when he returned for a few under 23 appearances - he certainly didn’t look like someone who would be playing for Chippenham in three years time when he was banging in the goals for the Academy team.Originally posted by Bluebirdman Of Alcathays View PostI thought Dan Griffiths might have had a chance but what do I know? He's at Chippenham now, apparently.

Yeah there are always bad future England squad predictionsOriginally posted by Rjk View Postusually these predictions are wildly inaccurate, so fair play to that guy for getting so many right.

Re: Isaak Davies.
Davies looks like he's going to be a player. He's confident on the ball, good feet and low down. He tries things when the odds are against him as well, that's great, it shows that he has belief in his ability. The next 18 months or so are going to be very interesting in terms of his development. I'm looking forward to it.

Looks to run at the opposition too. That changes the game, puts defenders on the back foot and creates space.Originally posted by Tuerto View PostDavies looks like he's going to be a player. He also draws some serious fouls.
One particularly nasty one on Saturday.
Would like to see him in the box more though.
His runs are very deep and he’s not going to do much damage that far out.

Re: Isaak Davies.
I think that, perhaps, we should have moved Kieffer wider the other week against Hull, kept Davies on and played him on Huddleston’s shoulder. Huddleston lapped up every high ball played into Moore whereas a bit of thinking, playing the ball through on the deck for Davies making Huddleston turn could have worked. Big lumps hate being faced with pace, George Friend shat himself every time Davies got the ball last Saturday.Originally posted by Lawnmower View PostLooks to run at the opposition too. Re: Isaak Davies.
That applies on Saturday as well I'd say - especially with Curtis Davies and Jagielka in central defence for Derby.Originally posted by splott parker View PostI think that, perhaps, we should have moved Kieffer wider the other week against Hull, kept Davies on and played him on Huddleston’s shoulder. Re: Isaak Davies.
He'll have half a good season here, stay in the summer and be part of a mad bidding war in January, deal not done in time and we sell the following summer, but by then we'll have another one coming through anyway :thumbup:Originally posted by Seabird View PostWhen do we sell him?
All jokes aside I hope we don't sell and get to see him develop without and get a good few seasons out of him for the fans to enjoy.
