Another Music Thread - The Cure

Gutted to miss out on tickets for The Cure for Cardiff next December. I only found out about the date on Sunday, unfortunate for me it sold out within hours on Friday.

Anyone lucky enough to get tix? I saw them 35 years ago, would love to go again.

Not my kind of band but he came out with some great guitar sounds 👌

If he had cranked it up he could have been in my play list

saw them in toronto 1992 love the music but was disappointed live

Lets hope the covid situation will be coming to an end next year but somehow think it will be with us for some time and buying tickets for concerts is not wise at the minute

supposed to be going to see simply red in Feb which has been cancelled on 2 different occasions in the last 20 months ..With the threat of a total lock down in January won't hold my breath !

We are on our 3rd attempt at Queen with Adam Lambert, its in June 2022 now, so another 6 months, if it doesn't take place I fear the rest of queen will be gone

Didn't think it would sell out that quickly.
Seen them a few times- the best probably when they did a tour of smaller venues and played the Newport Centre. Didn't go to the Hyde Park concert a couple of years ago but thought it was a little flat. Indoors should be better.

We are on our 3rd attempt at Queen with Adam Lambert, its in June 2022 now, so another 6 months, if it doesn't take place I fear the rest of queen will be gone

Did you see Queen with him upstairs ?

Have you seen the new bloke ?

I like early Queen , that Hammersmith odeon concert from 1975 is flat out heavy rock 🤘

no I didn't see them with Freddie, and I have seen them with Adam either

I had the queen live magic LP as a youngster, and for a while it was always on the record player

We watched the film bohemian rhapsody and booked tickets to see the tour, of course Covid hit and its been postponed twice now

Saw them many times, back in the day. I remember one gig at the University, where The Cure were supporting Souixsie and the Banshees, and Robert Smith played guitar for both bands. Saw the Pornography tour at Bristol Colston Hall, which was depressing.
Also went to Cornwall to see them at the Elephant Fair. A glorious sunny weekend of beer and bands. Happy days.

I didn’t see this thread which I guess spawned the best support acts thread… but I was at that gig at Sophia Gardens in 79 when he played with The Banshess.
