The story so far:

Quite a while ago the UK Government Website Gov.UK produces a style guide for written contributions;

Sometime later the Welsh Government Website, Wales.Gov follows suit, largely copying the UK version;

Quite a while later the Daily Mail decides this is worthy of a sensationalist headline criticising the Welsh Government for, apparently using the same phrases as used on the Gov.UK site.

Maurice Swan, currently resident in the Dordogne, spews outrage about how the world's gone mad.

A couple of usual suspects pile in.

H M Government is just as bad as the Welsh Assembly sheep followers......wake up and stop accepting this desecration of the language. You are sleepwalking into Winston Smith's world....next you will be accepting the necessity to have TV surveillance inside your houses to make sure you don't break any rules. Stand up and argue and fight for common sense for goodness sake.

I would like to see a UNITED Kingdom government and not the various parts ....The USA has similar even though they have state elections...

The problem here is that what seems like common sense to you may seem like ill-thought-out, shallow, tabloid induced, reactionary bollocks to some.

I think common sense is a country having its own democratically elected parliament and government, you seems to think that's objectionable.

If someone asked the the people of Wales what they wanted between 20 more AM 's plus support structure costs , or extra nurses, I think we all know the answer .

Can you offer many examples of countries with similar or bigger populations than Wales that have smaller legislatures than us?
