Thank-you for posting. We must remember.

During numerous visits to Yad Vashem in Jerusalem one cannot fail to be appalled by man's inhumanity to man.

        Yad Vashem

        The Story of Luboml

Gorecki: Symphony of Sorrowful Songs (2nd Movement)

May we never forget to remember these atrocities.

of course it's important to remember things like this and to shine a light on all atrocities (including UK ones) as it helps to prevent us going down those dark paths again. in theory anyway.
slightly strange timing for this post though, it isn't for another 3 months.

Many countries, including Britain, observe Holocaust Memorial Day on January 27th, which is the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp on January 27th 1945.

An important day to remember the sufferings of poor innocent people just on the whims of people eaten up by hatred. It reminds us all we must always remain vigilant to protect against the re-emergence of latent barbarity.

If you're on twitter please follow the Auschwitz Memorial Museum... They share daily stories which are heartbreaking but utterly necessary, so we don't consign the Holocaust just to an historical event but always humanise it and remember the real people murdered / affected.

Today someone, one of only a few babies born and survived in the camps, was talking about their parents experiences of the camp. Towards the end of the war they were saved from the gas chamber merely due to the fact the Nazis had run out of gas.

                    😞

Yes, AB. As you say, it is heartbreaking, bro.
