Yes, I always suspected it was the same plonker. But sadly there were quite a few of them.

Morison knows best, though. He’s told us so.

Ah yeah but as pointed out by his own manager
he might be top scorer, but he hasn’t got that many assists.

I believe him, can you imagine having a chat with LOM? You'd end up joining The Brotherhood.

What do you believe is remarkable about the job Morison is doing? I’m genuinely interested to hear your views as I’d rate the job he’s done so far as reasonable rather than remarkable.

True and true for the vast majority of all posts on here. Perception is reality and NYC’s was a more balanced view in my opinion.

As for Morison, it’d be pretty easy to follow the noise of ‘first impressions’ and condemn him, but my opinion is that I want to cut him some slack. There’s a first time leader working in our organization… (similar age to Morison I guess) she’d been in role for about 3 months…has boundless talent that her leaders recognised but had been struggling to engage her team. The feedback bubbled up and was shared. She hasn’t transformed it overnight as she possibly has to earn that, but you see the difference in engagement starting to happen. She’ll be fine.

There were a few on here that never rated him. Amongst their biggest complaints was that he never got stuck in and had no passion. Like being skillful, smart, an amazing striker of the ball, and cool as a cucumber have no merit.

I think Morison’s handling of the younger players is inspired by Sir Alex Ferguson. He always made sure that they toed the line and knew who called the shots, but he always acted in theirs and the club’s best interests. Maybe he should be harder on the senior players, but a lot of them won’t be around in a few months, so maybe he believes that they need to be handled in a different way.
With regard to having a less than 50% win rate, isn’t that a fairly common occurrence amongst managers everywhere?
Personally, I think that Morison has got a clear plan for how he wants to develop the club.
Maybe he’s swallowed a text book, but isn’t it refreshing to think that we’re not just bumbling along for once?

Considering the manager is only contracted until the end of the season, I think it’s fair to say the club is still bumbling along.

I hope he gets judged on results and improved performances.
His ability to interview well at this stage shouldn't come into it.

Yes, in an ideal world we would be deep into getting the players we need signed up for the summer already, but I'm not sure he's done quite enough yet to get the job.
We are getting better results, and playing better football having lost the likes of Giles and Moore, and now Morrison as well, but the last league game we were really awful.
If we are as bad tonight and lose dragging us back into a relegation scrap then there's every chance he won't get the job.

Then who do we bring in? I don't trust the club to get that decision right. Pure luck if we do.

I hope Morison is a success, but in a results driven business, it is the results that he will be judged on
and if I was in his position I wouldn't be trusting my future in the players that have ultimately got us into this position to get us out of it.
As good as we were against Forest we were awful against Barnsley, but he got the result
I'm hoping to see a decent game tonight but in reality if we win 1 0 with an own goal its still the same 3 points.

If he can take us forward happy days, if he can't there will be a long list of prospective candidates put forward.
If James Rowberry gets Newport County promoted his name will certainly be in the mix along with plenty of others, Nathan Jones, Hudson Wagner etc
