I don’t think any of the fans really want to pay it so just send the club a cheque for £20k.

We dont get 20,000 away , well not every game .
Our supporters smashed the toilets , the only thing we have in common with them is we follow Cardiff.

Perhaps you’d like to contribute towards their fines too in your spirit of solidarity with them. I find I have much more in common with fans of other clubs than some of our fans.

£1 isn't going to break the bank but I just don't understand why anyone thought this was a good idea.

We're playing Huddersfield away in 3 weeks time on a Wednesday night. So we're going to reward our fans who travel on a near 450 mile round trip with an extra charge... to teach those who smashed the toilets up in Bristol a lesson (I can almost guarantee none of those will be in Huddersfield).

As I said the £1 isn't an issue, it's the whole principle behind it.

As it stands I bought my Millwall and Huddersfield tickets a while ago... So I'm £2 up

Disagree with the clubs decision on this but we have other measures in place for away games put in place because of the mindless few that cause inconvenience and have down the years

I live about 7.miles from the liberty but it costs me time and money when I have gone (don't bother now) due to it being a bubble, various rv. points etc for some games and surely part of the reason we see some high prices for our away support due to added costs of hosting us e.g. More stewarding bigger police bill etc.

And another thing....how long will it go on for? Say the damage costs £10,000. That means it's paid for once 10,000 people go to away matches. Say 1000 at Barnsley, 2500 at Millwall, 1200 Huddersfield, 2500 at QPR, 1000 Middlesbrough, and 2500 at reading should see it done. If it goes on any longer than that, then they're saving up for something...

Quite right. I expect the £33 Bristol charged had potential damage priced in.

I appreciate the board don’t have a clue how to run a football club but this really is stupid even by their standards. Their most loyal supporters, who had absolutely nothing to do with the vandalism, now have to pay for the damage on behalf of the “anti-social and criminal actions of a minority” who won’t be turning up until the next high profile hooligan game!

These vandals are not supporters and are highly unlikely to be members of “Cardiff City Supporter Bodies”. During their “consultation” with the club did these supporters groups really think their members would agree it’s fair that after supporting their team away and having their toilets smashed up they should then be told its their responsibility to pay for the damage on behalf of the criminal scum who did it?

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that a huge amount of additional money was spent on a large police presence for the visit of Cardiff.
What the feck were they doing when all this was going on?

Not only should the police have been around to nullify the vandalism but they should be around to safeguard the public from these drugged up louts.

IMHO the police should pay at least half the bill for their poor performance

I'm just saying you're complaining about having spending a fortune travelling away, overnights in Liverpool etc. No one's making you do that, you're choosing to spend money on a pastime you enjoy. You're making a weekend on the piss in Liverpool watching football with your friends sound like some heroic act
