  • Kidderminster Away 2001

Just watching KID V WHU on bbc.

Thinking back to an away trip there in 2001 Great little away trip that was.

Back in the Sam Hammam Glory Years.

I remember our fans were split up but still in the same stand.

I remember Jan Molby getting some stick.

I remember our team of welsh boys and big money signings turning up and winning 4-2 and we felt like the Man United of League 2 (Division 3) at the time.

I think we played there again the cup a few years later but I didnt go.

These West Ham fans will be having a great day out no doubt.

I can remember going to Kidderminster for a midweek Welsh Cup tie in 1989. City were beaten 3-1. Those were the days.

Brian McDermott direct from a corner

I ended up in hospital for a week after a ‘confrontation’ outside the ground

Oh how I laughed when they conceded in the last minute

I can remember a City fan walking on the pitch during the warm up to give Jimmy Gilligan a bunch of flowers in the vain hope he would stay at the City,as there were rumours he was on his way.
