I prefered the Peter Green version of Fleetwood Mac still a good watch though.

Re: Christine Prefect/McVie.
I watched this the other day. Most of my favourite Fleetwood Mac tracks are Christine McVie compositions, so for someone like me, who prefers the Buckingham/Nicks era as my favourite incarnation of the band, it’s a really good watch.
Seems the band were in three camps, John McVie/Fleetwood, Christine/Stevie and Buckingham (After his split with Nicks) the outsider. He doesn’t seem any easy person to work with.

I whispered in her behind the bicycle sheds.
Christine your the perfect prefect.
She whispered back..
And the songbirds are singing
Like they knew the score
And I love you, I love you, I love you
Like never before.

Re: Christine Prefect/McVie.
There is no wrong answer, each evolution of the band was unique, Peter Green & Stevie Nicks couldn’t be more diverse but that’s what makes the band stand above most others.Originally posted by Ivortheengine View PostI always preferred Peter Green’s period with the band. Green Manalishi and Oh Well ,two classic tracks
Don’t ask me what I think of you,
I might not give the answer that you want me to.

Re: Christine Prefect/McVie.
I've got several Fleetwood Mac CDs and vinyl which purport to be Greatest hits/Best of/Very best of - and they're all different.
I think I have all the pre-Buckingham/Nicks albums on vinyl - this was my preferred period, but they transitioned to mainstream so well and Christine was a great writer with a distinctive voice

Re: Christine Prefect/McVie.
I saw them at Sophia Gardens in 1969 supporting B B King and were playing primarily blues. Evolving seemed to part of their way of life as they changed style somewhat leading to the Oh Well/Green Manalishi period which I preferred. Evolution continued into the puréed mid-atlantic mainstream mush rock which made them big time but was not my cup of tea but still a good band and justifiably popular nevertheless.
