I'm fairly certain Colwill wasn't playing for the under 23s at the start of the season

The u23s lost Connolly, Zimba, Davies, Evans and Patten in January though and it looks like they may be losing Denham if his performance at Anfield is anything to go by

Perhaps there is more rotation within then squad with the lads breaking through to first team is and returning its bound to unsettle their rhythm .

It doesn't matter as long as the system is producing players good enough for the 1st team. We could win the U23 league for the next ten years, but that wouldn't mean a thing if we weren't producing players capable of stepping up.

Or it could be the huge number of key players that don't play for the u23s anymore, today's side had several u18s starting. A 15 year old even ended up playing, that's a big gap physically

Exactly. Anyone who watched today’s game could see the gap between the two sides both physically and in terms of their development.

Not just today though? What I was getting at was have results slowed, even with these player's, because Morison is now first team manager?

I am not expecting even Pep to get results when we have so many younger kids involved, just for the record, and for them it's about a lot more than the result.
