    Would have been great.

I think a big part of what works, for now at least, is having Wintle sit and the energy after Ralls and Doyle ahead of him, I think a no10 gets a cameo in this team just now

Didn't we rush him back for the start of the following season and he got injured again?

Didn't rule himself out of some games due to a cold?

What was the injury that kept him out for so long out of interest?

Cant remember tbh but let’s be honest, not even Lee Tomlin would admit he was a committed professional. A lot of the niggling injuries and fitness issues could have been avoided if he was more proffesional. His diet was clearly piss poor and not befitting of a professional athlete.

I loved the guy as a player, he’s one of the reasons I watch football because he can do things with a football mere mortals cannot, but if he’s truly honest with himself he wasn’t fully committed for majority of his time here.

              Magical player.

I'm sure we all want him to do well and more importantly be well.

which would suit him, his style and lack of fitness

How much of his unprofessional attitude was just down to his mental health?

Anyway, I saw something this morning that struck a chord with me and it is absolutely bang on "I don't understand why people are defending Joe Rogan more than Joe Rogan is defending himself"

Lee Tomlin is a grown man and a pro footballer he doesn't need me defending him.

I’d flip that and say how much of his mental health issues were self inflicted and down to having an unprofessional attitude / poor lifestyle?

And I wasn’t trying to be clever I say that as someone who has suffered bouts of depression over the last 15 years but also made some very poor lifestyle choices in that time which I have no doubt were a factor with the mental health. It’s the old chicken and egg scenario.

I loved Tomlin when he was on it and I wish him well. I hope he can get back on the field and back to in a good place mentally. Even if it’s just 20

Fair play to him, hopefully he gets back some fitness as on the pitch he would still be far too good at that level if he is even at 90%.

No no I know you weren't mate, were all adults on here and we can have tidy conversations now and again ;)

I've been there myself, wasn't going to bring myself into it in the first reply but basically what I've realised over the last month or so is everything that was shit in my life, how I felt waking up, during the day, no motivation, tired, bad thoughts,, no desire to look after myself and basically work, sleep, eat, work.. staying in bed watching TV during my time out of work...it was all my own doing.

I've been Alan the gym 3 weeks, been eating well properly for just under 3 weeks (started a few days after first visit to the gym) I drink plenty of water..and honestly that's a cheat code in itself keeping hydrated and cutting out shirty soft drinks..I walk the dog a good hour or more and she's out on 2 small walks start and end of day for the toilet..all of thus is done with absolutely no effort I can't believe the change in myself in a short time.

Drugs, which were always sadly coming out after a few beersbibe done once in 6 weeks (2 weeks ago) and I've drank on 2 occasions in the same period.

I won't completely cut out alcohol, drugs are gone, dead, but I'll drink as and when I fancy it but at the moment I'm happy not to.

All the best to Lee he's great to watch.

Good luck to you as well, I know how hard it can be.
