Pity Peter Sellers is not alive, he’d have made a good leader of the Senedd.

Re: The. Mouse That Roared
I truly wish it all the best, although I fear this quote carries a lot of weight.
But one firm named in the Welsh government's strategy said other similar-sized countries were "doing an awful lot more, an awful lot quicker".
My experience of working with the WG is that they are very slow and lack much dynamism. It's a shame, because devolution should mean we can be more nimble and focused on projects than other parts of the UK (or English regions anyway). Alas, that never seems to be the case.
Our motorways are shit. Our airport is shite. Our trains are shitty. God knows why we think we'll do space trips when the one train an hour linking Cardiff Bay to Cardiff City centre doesn't always turn up.

Re: The. Mouse That Roared
In the ten years, I spent living in Cardiff Bay, I never caught a train or a bus into the City Centre (or back). I've walked or cycled. Even later, with a f*cked up leg and foot, on crutches, I still walked in along Lloyd George Avenue.Originally posted by JamesWales View PostI truly wish it all the best, although I fear this quote carries a lot of weight.

Trains in the UK are shite everywhere. If you're disabled, it's even worse. Motorways will eventually be for electric, self-driven cars anyway. Airports will be for the superrich. I doubt this project will see the light of day as the next ten years will see the world change dramatically.
We live in luxury really compared to most of the world.

I think you should stop beating about the bush and tell us what your real opinion of UK Travel is!! :tumbleweed:Originally posted by Citizen's Nephew View PostIn the ten years, I spent living in Cardiff Bay, I never caught a train or a bus into the City Centre (or back). Re: The. Mouse That Roared
I would have thought that WAG would have better things to think about than this, such as sorting the permanent fifteen mile traffic jam that is the M4 motorway North of Newport and Cardiff. It is bound to involve taxpayers money. Unless of course their intention is send travellers and freight on this section of their journey via space shuttle !

All they’re interested in is lining their own pockets.
