I thought Catterall won it. The ref spoilt the fight for me.
It wasn’t the refs fault the holding by Catterall every time they got in close. Catterwll way too sharp at range but kept spoiling the fight every time Taylor got in close, maybe that worked against him.
If there’s a rematch and it’s in my garden I’ll draw the blinds as style wise it was an awful match up

The ref really earned his dough last night.
The grabbing and the holding by both fighters was pathetic. Short bursts of action followed by long interruptions. One of the messiest fights i’ve seen in a long time.

No deffo not the refs fault he had a hard night work in there....I do think they were as bad as each other though, and both were warned. Catterall did have a 10/8 round. bit of under the table stuff going on with all the belts that were on the line not a good night for british boxing.
Not just a bad decision but an utterly outrageous one. Stats show that Catterall landed almost twice as many punches and every single independent judge rightly had him winning by a wide margin. The two judges who scored the fight to Taylor should never be allowed to score a boxing match again.

Just a total embarrassment for boxing, Caterall won by at least 3 clear rounds. Why does the sport keep setting itself up for a fall. At least with WWE you know it’s a sham.
Beware of any fight where Ian John Lewis is judging or reffing. The standard of of judging by the incompetent clique that the BBC keep selecting is appalling.
The boxing world at large believes Catterall gained a clear upset victory over Josh Taylor in Glasgow on Saturday night and should now be the undisputed world super-lightweight champion.
