We're only playing this formation because mick left us with no wingers aren't we? I'm not sure wing backs is all of a sudden the cardiff city way and even if so, hopefully morrison will have a plan b for next year which involves wingers.

He used it with the u23 as well and seems happy enough with it.

You are right though we weren't given much choice as I is what we were left with.

Hardly a progressive suggestion but I have always liked Barry Bannon. Could he do a job for us for a couple of seasons?

he's 32 already, still under contract for another year and currently playing in league one.
this may be the exact opposite of the direction we should be taking

I won't argue with that but even at his age he is playing well and in my opinion has already proved himself in the Championship. If we could find a younger version of his type of player that we can afford and who wants to play for the club, GREAT! Bannon has a wealth of experience and perhaps playing alongside him would help some of our younger players.

Marlon Pack also has a wealth of experience, but I wouldn't want him anywhere near the first team.
There's probably a reason why Bannon is playing in League One. Once a player's legs start to go they become a liability in the modern game.

Yep. I had high hopes for Holmes but he has been found out this season. Caught flat footed far too many times.
Halilovic is a fraud of a player.

We were linked to him in January and I reckon Michael Hector, the most loaned man in the world, wouldn't be a bad shout or maybe Chris Mepham (who I thought played well last night). Looking at other players with the clubs likely to be in the Premier League next season, maybe Alfie Mawson, Lewis Cook, Ben Pearson, Gavin Kilkenny or even Keiffer Moore - any of these would, clearly, be on loan.
