Bluebirds fan on Radio 2's Popmaster this morning. Did well - beat an Ipswich supporter on a tie-break.

Re: Popmaster
I must admit that I was quite disappointed that he didn’t finish off his dedications with a good luck to The City tonight.Originally posted by Undercoverinwurzelland View PostBluebirds fan on Radio 2's Popmaster this morning. Did well - beat an Ipswich supporter on a tie-break.

Re: Popmaster
He said he and his son have season tickets. He then went on to say his son supports the Bluebirds, he is a Liverpool fan but it's too hard to get tickets so he goes to City instead.Originally posted by Undercoverinwurzelland View PostBluebirds fan on Radio 2's Popmaster this morning. Me too.Originally posted by The Bloop View PostGetable for a change. I usually have a complete brain freeze, even if it's an artist I like.
I only got two of FM from reading this and they have probably had dozens.
I find pop master can be either ridiculously easy or tough.
The ones that get the max are usually proper geeks mind.

I used to think so too but he's grown on me over the years.Originally posted by Taunton Blue Genie View PostKen Bruce is the antidote to insomnia.
Ken's good at what he does, especially when hosting Popmaster.
He's had various people stand in for him and nobody could hold a candle to him.
I find he makes the nervous feel at ease and the cocky he subtlely takes down a peg.

Re: Popmaster
Exactly, he’s the best on daytime Radio Two by far. As you say, the ones that stand in for him are, very often, worse than the contestants for continuity. I’d imagine live radio is quite demanding, hitting time slots, news etc, then an unknown occurrence like a Popmaster tie break which has no time limit. Ken takes it all in his stride perfectly. Very good broadcaster.Originally posted by MacAdder View PostI used to think so too but he's grown on me over the years.
