There was a spell earlier this season when for probably a dozen or so games Aden Flint didn't once pass the ball on the ground, hoofing every single ball up into the sky whether the 1st minute or the 91st. No doubt he was 'playing to orders', but it was hard to discern even the slightest hint of footballing ability in him.
Forward to the last few weeks and he's a player transformed. Still strong in defence, but passing with confidence, splaying wide, inch perfect passes out to Bagan and co., and generally looking the all round defender. Tonight my MOM. Just shows what different managers can achieve with the same player.
