Re: How Much Do You Pay For Sky ?

After many renegotiations and threats to leave, Sky have twigged the fact I will never carry through with my reasons to opt for anything else. The problem is that Sky is so darn good and the thought of going to anything else does not appeal. I pay around £120 per month for everything including broadband, phone and Netflix. Of course this is ludicrously expensive but I do watch a lot of TV and will never change.

My old man dumped Sky. He's got BT now. He seems quite happy with it. Although, he's not into football.

£81.00 is my latest contract after negotiation. Full TV with Sky Q, multi room and HD/UHD

I am looking at a Sky Glass TV as an addition when we have some renovation done. Can get a 55 inch TV and all services added to our package for £21 a month. Seems a good deal.

              Anyone tried Sky Glass?

My phone/broadband and BT Sport come as a package with BT. That's £75 a month.

Mobile phones (Vodafone x 4)on top of that as well.

I can save a bit if I go all in with Sky but I'm one for supporting services that work for me. It costs but everyone is happy.

Anything else? If you are interested in watching live football, there isn't anything else! (apart from BT which is extra of course )

I pay about £250 for 3 phones, TV and Internet. I keep on getting introductory offers from other companies $89 for two years of TV and Internt. But then I'd have to change the phones too and I don't think could get the same deal ($100 for 3 unlimited lines) I've thought about switching it off next time we go on holiday and seeing what they offer to keep me. We'll see.

                    It’s an odd comparison.

If the bbc was really value they would offer people the option as a subscription or at least make it easy not to have it.

I got rid of Sky about five years ago. I mostly watch iPlayer, Netflix, YouTube and YouPorn now.

If I add my mobile phones than I am looking at

                        £81 for Sky
                        £75 for BT
                        £166 for Vodafone

                        £322 in total.

I'm paying for a family of four adults.

For that I get full Sky TV as mentioned earlier.

BT 68mb broadband, BT Sports and my landline

Vodafone: 4 x iPhones - an 1Phone 13 pro max with unlimited data, an iPhone 13 100gb data, and iPhone SE 2022 100 gb data and a sim only iPhone 8 20 gb data

Re: How Much Do You Pay For Sky ?

Purely for sky sports: £200 p.a., plus £5per month. So about £21.67 per month. Via now TV

For broadband (75mbps) and phone (including almost all calls) it's another £21 a month. I've also added the now TV entertainment package (which is pretty good) for £6 per month.

We don't have Freeview, so things like bbc, itv etc are all accessed via separate apps.

2 years ago cancelled Vmedia broadband and TV. I was paying around 79 No movies or sport. Now pay £26 for broadband and £23 for an app on my firestick that gives me all the sport movies and tv plus everything fron the US as well.

                            Best decision I have made.

My wife watches sport on tv, football, cricket tiddlywinks. She will get up early and arrange her day to fit in with a test match if its on. Me, I am not too bothered, even watching City on tv bores me after a while. Much prefer watching live at the stadium. We had Sky Sports HD and BT Sports HD but the costs were just getting too much. BT was ok because there was some discount for having BT internet and a BT mobile but those offers seem to be over now. Cancelled BT sport a few months ago. Starting to think I might cancel Sky soon as well. Tuesday night football - Derby v Peterborough or some other boring game. I just can't see the value in it anymore. In case there is a big game on, champions league etc I can always watch it in the village pub.
