  • 2 quiz questions

Today marked our first win over Reading after 12 games without a win against them.

    1. Who are the only 4 City managers since WW2 to have managed 2 wins against Reading?

    2. Against which 4 sides have we suffered our longest winless runs?

1/4 ain't bad! We haven't won in our last 15 against Arsenal.

We failed to win any of our first 11 against Brighton. The longest run without a win against Villa is only 5 games, half the number of winless games we suffered against Barnet! We did go 10 without a win against Crewe until Earnie's late winner against them in 2002.

You're right with Len Ashurst - his side did the double over Reading in a matter of 17 days at the end of the 1989/90 season.

Spot on with Malky. Only ever City manager to have a 100% record against Reading (and Swansea).

While we've got a crap record against Norwich, we've never gone more than 5 games without a win against them.

Never managed us against Reading. Think more recent.

Slade and Jones both managed 2 wins against Reading, incredible as the Slade stat sounds! Pre war, only Fred Stewart managed the same.

Spiers never managed against Reading. We played them in the league in 1947 and not again until 1982, though did manage 2 5-1 wins in the league cup against them.
