  • Congratulations FGR

I’ve played against FGR in the Gloucestershire County League & then Hellenic league 40 plus years ago. It's great to see a village team progress through 8 or 9 steps to get to play in League 1 next season. It’ll be a big challenge for them but So have many previous seasons. FGR v Derby County, or Portsmouth, or Sunderland etc.

Yes. They're a very well run club too with a great ethos on and off the pitch.

Brilliant progress. Pre-season friendlies a few years ago when we were four divisions apart. As my legs wither part of me hopes that they move to their new ground the next time we meet rather than walking up and down that hill into the village for a pint though!
