Re: Dillon Phillips now at risk...
WOL got their story from Football Insider who got it from a Cardiff source,
Football Insider was started by a bunch of mates who were on the same course together at Salford Uni. which has added a couple of ex-sports journalists.
There could be something to this story but in general it seems that anyone can now start a blog or website that quickly becomes the source for the national media.
Cardiff City are in talks with Cameron Brannagan of Oxford United, says Cardiff source. Because a mate who works for the FA told me

They’ve got a lot right about us recently. They broke the Alnwick and Adams stories, as well as Wintle, NML, Etheridge etc. They must have a well placed sourceOriginally posted by Des Parrot View PostWOL got their story from Football Insider who got it from a Cardiff source,

Re: Dillon Phillips now at risk...
The Bluebirds were once again linked with the Rams goalkeeper over the weekend after showing interest in the player earlier in the window
Cardiff City are not in talks to sign Derby County goalkeeper Ryan Allsop, WalesOnline has been told.
The fact the Allsop reports were dredged up again at the weekend appeared to throw shades of uncertainty from some supporters over Dillon Phillips' future at the club.
However, a source at Cardiff has told WalesOnline "Dillon isn't going anywhere", thus finally putting to bed those burgeoning rumours of the 26-year-old's potential departure.
Phillips has had to bide his time and wait patiently for his opportunity, with Alex Smithies largely preferred as City's first choice since the player's arrival from Charlton in 2020. The club, however, are happy with Phillips and new signing Alnwick and both will battle it out for the No.1 spot next season.

I guess we were probably talking to Allsop until Alnwick decided to sign.Originally posted by jon1959 View Posthttps://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...ounty-24034578

Re: Dillon Phillips now at risk...
He was pretty highly rated when he was at Charlton, and kept Smithies out of the side for long periods over the last couple of years, and Smithies is a proven good goalkeeper at this level.
If we are bringing in a new goalkeeping coach then maybe we will see him back to his best.
It probably also doesn't help playing behind a extremely porous midfield and defence for much of this season.
