  • Tom Sang

Just watched the TV pictures of him celebrating the SPL play-off victory with his team mates at St Johnstone.

Great win for them against Inverness CT and their SPL position secured. 4 - 0 (6 - 2).

He didn't get on. Just 9 appearances in his loan spell.

Due back at the CCS to discuss his best position with Steve Morison - RB/RWB (Sang) or CM (Morison).

Interesting to see if he will be part of the great rebuild - or jettisoned. From the little I saw he looked like a promising squad player but not a lot of evidence from Cardiff, Cheltenham or St Johnstone to make a proper judgement.

If he can't get much game time up there, then I wouldn't hold my breath of him staying here next season. Another loan beckons

Got the feeling from Morison's quotes that he didn't rate up that highly.

Yeah doesn't look like he's made as much of an impact at St Johnstone as he would have wanted. Seems a tidy player with a bit of creativity, but I don't think he's an athlete/ball carrier in the mould of wing back that Morison seems to want, and not sure he's defensively good enough for RB.

Sadly I think Sang should be released.

Had him down as one of the more promising youngsters so a little surprised to see he only managed 9 appearances there.

I remember reading that in at least one of those games he had a bit of a mare defensively as well.

I always thought he was a pretty neat CM and a much better passer of the ball than most around him. Combined really well to set up Harris wining goal against Preston in the cup. I was honestly thinking Sang and Bowen where going to be the future of our midfield when and if fit. But it looks like both will be going.

I always liked what I seen but the fact he went out on loan to play wingback when Morison sees him as a CM makes me think we won’t be seeing him again.

I remember being curious as to how these pair would do together as well.

Wasn't he always CM as a youth player? Then he got stuck out at RWB at Cheltenham and McCarthy tried him out there cos we were short in that position and now he thinks that's where he's got the best chance, I assume. Good that he backed himself but it sounds like the loan was a gamble that hasn't paid off.
