Re: EasyJet cancelling some Amsterdam flights

Air travel and holidaying abroad is a bit of a lottery at the moment
My mate and his wife had a fantastic deal to Lanzarote last week
£329 for the week all inclusive each flying from Cardiff
They should have flown home on Wednesday
    Return flight cancelled last minute
    Emergency contact number nobody answering
It’s not such a fantastic deal anymore
Had to fork out extra nights hotel costs- taxi’s- food and the only flights he could get were into Birmingham tomorrow
    His cars in Cardiff
I’m not gloating honest but I did warn him it was a shite time to travel ☺️

What a shambles. I really feel for people having their holidays cancelled - my kids were away last week and would have been devastated.

I flew back to Poland from Bristol yesterday, the airport was empty, a few at check in, no a single person queueing at security.

There were around 6 cancelled flights, all EasyJet, and a TUI flight that was around 8 hours behind schedule.

I am flying to Venice later this week, first trip abroad for 6 years and I see that Italian air traffic controllers went on strike last week and threatening to do so again - happy days! Of course this affects all airlines not just EasyJet - I'm going with Ryanair.
