For money and to play/ work with some of the best player and coaches in the world and prove themselves. Bale is at the stage in his career where that they are not the most important factors, especially in a World Cup year.

Well he's definitely considering it but if the rumours are true, there are 100k reasons every week as to why he'd go to MLS.

Perhaps, but I don’t think deals like this are done in a week ,whoever he signs for would have been finalised weeks ago. Transfers are long and protracted. If he wasn’t signing, why meet with Morison, there would be no point.

It opens again on 7th July, but Bale will be a free agent at the end of the month, so does it matter either way?

No. I was just wondering if we would hear what club he’ll be joining if he decides in the next few days to go to the MLS or whether we’ll just slip-off the short list.

Nothing stopping MLS announcing his signing before he can technically join, like we did with Adams, O'Dowda etc etc

yeah some Chinese club were going to pay him a shit load of cash to go there, think it was all agreed but then Real decided they also wanted £20m transfer fee, so it all broke down

Mainly because China had a 100% tax on transfer fees, so that 20m was 40m for Jiangsu

He was in the hotel room with all the officials mere minutes from signing the deal before Real pulled the plug.

I'm confident the club have done everything they can (I would presume Tan is incredibly keen to make this happen; and rightly so!). My understanding is that the position remains unchanged from this morning and a decision will be made shortly, so I'm not sure what else others have heard but I trust what I've been told.

If it doesn't happen it'll be for a multitude of reasons but ultimately Bale will have the final say.
