I wouldn't, he's a stubborn old bastard, he'll think that he can get the best out of Glatzel-I really hope he does anyway :hehe:Originally posted by Hilts View PostHe also paid 5.5m on Glatzel. It was a mistake.
Id be stunned if he went for Glatzel again even on loan.

Proven Champ striker, could we get 7.5m? :hehe:. In reality, I'd take anything.Originally posted by Tuerto View PostI wouldn't, he's a stubborn old bastard, he'll think that he can get the best out of Glatzel-I really hope he does anyway :hehe:
I thought Morison wanted to thump him yesterday, he was getting so annoyed!

We did, he scored a hattrick against them in their preseason. In hindsight, it is no surprise they struggled last season :hehe:Originally posted by Heisenberg View PostDidn't we beat Boro to his signature when Woodgate was in charge (according to the media)?
Looked they they played without a recognised striker yesterday too when I had a look at their starting line-up.

Re: Possible Middlesbrough interest in Glatzel?
So the speculation is that Boro want Glatzel (unclear whether loan or permanent deal) and that would free up wages (and maybe a fee) to fund a move for Rhodes?
If Glatzel has been a disappointment, that is nothing to Rhodes. Glatzel has scored about once in four games since 2017; Rhodes about once in seven games in the same period. Rhodes is four years older. He is not the player he was between 2009-16 at Huddersfield and Blackburn. He is in fast decline.
For all his limitations (although I still have hopes he can still be coached into a better player) I would keep Glatzel every time. if it is a straight choice between the two of them
