I was just about to say to you, there are lots of free trials and the 3month one is good. Apple is another one who do it and Amazon Music (the one that comes with Prime isn't the full catalogue).

My view is, I end up listening to more artists which means I'll buy their albums to support them (or go to a gig if it's possible). I kind of treat them like demos these days.

Because I'm tight I've been using the free version for years. The ads are pretty unobtrusive to be fair. Apart from removing the ads is there a huge advantage in paying for the service?

I think you can download albums to your phone or tablet memory with the version you pay for ?

Where there's no wifi - it's those kind of situations I like to have a playlist downloaded on my phone like the old iPod days.

That’s what I did, found all my songs and put them into various play lists then you can play them without premium.

Although when you lose premium it’s hard to find songs again to add to your play lists.
