Re: Newport Wafer factory
We’re on the verge of stopping production in all of our factories because of wafer shortages, Texas Instruments can currently only provide 25% of their demand from China. A well known German car manufacturer, has set up a new vehicle line for 600 per day but can only build 2 per hour because of component shortages. By the end of August we’ll be on complete stop.

Re: Newport Wafer factory
The big impact in the PMI is the SDT which has collapsed. Orders & production are there but everyone is carrying too much inventory because it’s being held due to critical shortages. The waiting time on some cars is forecast at 15 monthsOriginally posted by JamesWales View PostDon't be too despondent.
