Re: Aaron Ramsey's contract with Juventus has finally been terminated
Wonder who he'll sign for, highly unlikely to be us.
He's in an awkward position now because he probably wants to stay at the higher levels. Any clubs at that level are only going to be offering awkward clause-filled contracts now though surely?
Things like £40k basic, £30k appearance, £5k assist/goal and so on.
His injury record not going to do him favours.

I think Nottingham Forest is a good shout. Got a big Welsh contingent. Could probably offer him a decent wage. (When you look at what Lingard is on) And Steve Cooper would definitely manage him properly. Failing that, could see him join Bale in MLS.

The talk a while back was that he wouldn’t be looking for much money - I’m not getting my hopes up after the Bale disappointment, but what we do know about Rambo is that he does have strong feelings for the club.Originally posted by Ninja View PostI'd be amazed on £12k per week or whatever it is we're offering these days!

Wouldn't doubt that to be fair, but it will be similar to the Bale situation.Originally posted by the other bob wilson View PostThe talk a while back was that he wouldn’t be looking for much money - I’m not getting my hopes up after the Bale disappointment, but what we do know about Rambo is that he does have strong feelings for the club.
He will get far more elsewhere for at least a year or two than we could ever offer at this point.
Although I suspect it will be a heavily "structured" contract, full of clauses considering his injury history.
Would love to have him back, but you have to put yourself in his shoes. Would you come back here on a structured deal for maybe £30k per week max if you can get £80k per week elsewhere?

Because he has good spatial awareness?Originally posted by Wales-Bales View PostRamsey has a good footballing brain and I think he could be a decent manager, so maybe his next move should offer him a pathway into coaching?
