      You must be very old then. I have seen some ancient photos showing a level crossing, before the railway was raised on an embankment. I can't remember if it was both lines, or just one of them.

              I remember the one, out of shot on the right, just beyond the 2nd bridge (bed store now I think) where I used to go in the early 1960s and await 50% of the team to pop in for their post training pies, pasties, double egg/chips and beans on toast at around midday, followed by treacle sponge and custard. And of course a Capstan Full Strength, a puff or three to chill! Get in there, autograph time and home for tea!
