It's still scheduled. But Republicans are doing their best to suppress voting. They are presently in a war with mail-in voting and are acting like it's a new thing that will lead to voter fraud. It's actually nothing new. People have been mailing in their votes for years. Voter fraud is incredibly complex to carry out and is a felony crime. The Republicans are just using it as an excuse, they know the fewer people vote the better their chances are. They gerrymander districts in their favor and they strike hundreds of thousands of people off voter registration records.

I was speaking to a friend ( long story how we became friends, i might bore you all with it one day ) of ours who works at disney a few nights ago, he said that Universal resorts city walk ( the entertainment /bar / club area ) are opening today ( or might have been yesterday ), he was amazed that the state are pushing ahead, but said that its been reported that universal are losing $10 million a day by being shut which is massive till you realise disney are losing over $35 mill a day by not being open you can see why the Orlando area are keen to reopen ASAP
          Can’t be right surely?

There's been highest ever recorded numbers of new cases in Florida, California and Texas this week. Hopefully, this is down to increased testing levels in those states - if it isn't, then even Trump won't be able to continue ignoring the virus which has shown him to be totally unsuited for his job.

Same with Arizona, they lifted their lockdown on May 15th. Trump is now preparing to hold rallies in so-called red states. Inside arenas that are still closed for bands and sporting events.
I started following that Officer Tony Norman on Instagram. Community cop who does his bit..erm..in the community.
Anyway.. by the looks of it he hasn't stopped picking the locals up and driving about and I've seen zero social distancing in any of his posts. He's from Arkensaaww.

Oregon and Utah have paused their easing of the lockdown because of the rising number of new infections in each state.

                    Re: Florida

Yesterday's figure for new cases in Florida of 2,625 was over 700 up on the previous highest (which was on Friday) - the last three days have seen a new highest so far figure in that state when it comes to new cases. As I mentioned in a message yesterday, it might be that the higher figures are down to increased testing levels, but if that's not the case, there's also an ominous look to things in Texas and California;-

Florida COVID-19 Coronavirus update by county with statistics and graphs: total and new cases, deaths per day, current active cases, recoveries, historical data, trends, projections, and timeline.

Texas COVID-19 Coronavirus update by county with statistics and graphs: total and new cases, deaths per day, current active cases, recoveries, historical data, trends, projections, and timeline.

California COVID-19 Coronavirus update by county with statistics and graphs: total and new cases, deaths per day, current active cases, recoveries, historical data, trends, projections, and timeline.

Levels are always going to increase, when we come out of lockdown the figures are only going one way , now add to that all these protests with little or no social distancing

it looks like other countries are struggling with keeping rates low and getting back to life
