Re: Florida
Sounds really bad....like a war zoneOriginally posted by Wash DC Blue View PostProbably all of the above.
South Chicago has been a massive problem for years.
Protesters getting more brazen as well as police on egg shells.
Mentioned on here that I’m thinking of getting a gun.
Never wanted one, don’t really want one now, but sadly think we might need one if things carry on.

Re: Florida
Surely this one picture sums up the situation in the southern states. One guy who has the sense to wear a face covering is confronted by 3 mouthy rednecks. Note the graphics on the T shirt - maybe the wording should be changed from snowflakes to rednecks don't last long in Texas!Attached Files

Re: Florida
Listen to Ben Carson the U.S. Housing Secretary talking on the Andrew Marr programme yesterday. A black man himself, brought up in a poor family, he had some interesting comments about growing up in Detroit and the situation there today. Presumably similar to Chicago?Originally posted by goats View PostSounds really bad....like a war zone

Update: The spread of coronavirus infections has taken a "swift and very dangerous turn" in the US state of Texas, Governor Greg Abbott has warned.Originally posted by Gofer Blue View PostSurely this one picture sums up the situation in the southern states. "Over just the past few weeks, the daily number of cases have gone from an average of about 2,000, to more than 5,000," Mr Abbott said on Sunday.
Several southern and western states have recorded a surge in cases after lockdown restrictions were eased.

Any chance that this virus may mutate and stay around longer?

Re: Florida
That crazy, they have a lot of old retired people too so should be an increase in deaths in the coming months, I suppose the climate is going to help them though with Winters like our summer/Autumn.Originally posted by cyril evans awaydays View Posthttps://thehill.com/homenews/state-w...r-for-covid-19
Over twice as many new cases in Florida yesterday as in the whole of the European Union

Re: Florida
The virus spreads less easily in warmer climates, colder Winters will be worse for the continued spread of the virus.Originally posted by StraightOuttaCanton View PostWhy is the climate going to help them.... or were you being ironic?
We are sure to have a big spike this Winter.
