  • The World Cup so far

It's been shit, hasn't it? I've never paid so little attention to it; too many useless teams, like in the early Champions League games. Hopefully, it will get a lot better in the later stages.

You're right. Useless teams like Japan, Korea, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, USA and Australia?

Not watched many games live yet, but it looks like the football’s been pretty good so far.

Which of those will make the finals? They are there for the friendly warm-ups, but it has been good to see the likes of Cape Verde defend well for 90-plus minutes against Spain.

It has been good and so far, with a couple of exceptions, it shows there's been a general levelling up of the game across the World. As to be expected, apart from home fans, South American fans dominating and creating a wonderful atmosphere.

Aye, I'll be struggling tonight at 20.00, France V Senegal or Emmerdale followed by Coronation Street, opening group games haven't been that bad IMO, but yes too many teams, its romantic seeing the make up teams getting a point on occasions but i'd rather see them get dicked 8-0 each time to knock this idea on the head. I did read online yesterday that a punter put a million on Spain to win which was going to result in a very small return relative to the bet (posted by the polymarket account so presume it was true) I guess if you can afford to bet a million you can afford to lose it!!.

The more football the better for me. Let's make it 96 teams next time

Too many teams, still waiting to watch France, England, Argentina. Also very little jeopardy as so many teams get out of the groups.

Just hope the knockouts throw up some classics.

I was really apathetic but to be fair I’ve really enjoyed it so far.
Hydration breaks are shite…but there has been some entertaining games.

Well after the Mbappe/Haaland/Messi shows, it feels like its really kicked off now. Portugal and England both play later too..

First it was Don; now it is Ron!

Where is the respect for Jesus, Mary and Joseph, and the wee donkey? God Bless America! Thank you for your attention to this matter.
