  • The blackboard coverage in the waterbreaks

Amazing, that added so much, looking forward to the next game just for that tactical insight, can't we have that on Sky for every game?

    Injury break, corner wait analysis.

I thought it was a game of noughts and crosses.

She did the analysis of the front and rear supporting triangle after the goal that used it, it was spot on I thought, the chalkboard thing might be a bit 70's compared to dragging the finger across the screen technology,(but i like a bit of nostalgia) she's doing fine IMO and the simplistic approach to it makes it clear and concise, the criticism with the X pile on was / is unfortunately, predictable, without looking her name up, i think it's Emma and i'd rather 10 mins of her analysis over Gary Neville any day of the week, i hope the bullies don't win and she remains on screen for the rest of the tournament.(I understand that the OP was a bit of banter) or maybe not!!!

Please tell me that doesn't happen twice during a game at both mid-half tea-breaks. The flow of the game stops for something which doesn't add anything to the game. It's like 4 separate games now. I turned Emma Hayes off. Lecturing fans is a poor addition. Is it correct that fans at games have started booing these enforced stoppages? During one match this week the supposed 3 min first half cessation of play stretched to 4 mins 15 secs. What have we done to deserve this?

I know I've often posted it ... but oh for Barry Davies.

I think the analysis of triangles is overcooked all round. Any three players will form a triangle whatever the situation.

Yes, but were they Equilateral or Isosceles.

It takes me back to Brian Clough telling John Motson best part of 50 years ago to shut up and just show the football. If Cloughie thought there was too much analysis back then, God knows what he would think of where we are now.

                    Thank-you, HSH. Less is more.

Just looked awkward. It's the 21st century, they can quite comfortably have graphics over the actual footage and have her talk over it of they need to fill the quota. Don't made the poor girl stand at the front of class.

No idea what you are all talking about.
I fast forward through all the punditry, before, during and after the game.

Groundbreaking analysis. "Pass the ball to each other in a shape." I had to take notes.

I really hope she stays on for the rest of the tournament. I'm desperate for her to use that chalkboard to explain why the referee blows his whistle when an attacker stands right next to the keeper and stops a goal after a midfielder plays a lovely pass over the defence.

Who needs actual top-tier tactical breakdown from the likes of Bellamy when you can have someone reinventing the wheel by discovering passing lanes on a prop set that looks like a 1970's MFI kitchen display?
